Introducing Mac!

Introducing Mac!

Hello again!

I initially planned to to film a podcast, have it all uploaded and ready to go for today, but life happened. My sisters left today after being here for the past week and a half. I decided cleaning house and getting back to a usual schedule, (not to mention trying to convince my body that it does not need to develop a cold!) was more important than trying to rush job a podcast. So instead of a podcast post, I want to introduce you to my new little buddy: Mac!!

When Sisters Come to Town

When Sisters Come to Town

Hello my dears!

I have been rather silent on all social medias the past week. My sisters and best pals have been in town visiting which means loads of shenanigans! We've been hanging out, watching movies, crafting, visiting friends, and even managed a trip to the beach. It has all been rather splendid! (I will forewarn you: this is a picture heavy post without much blathering from yours truly.)

Hand-Knit Baby Cardigan

Hand-Knit Baby Cardigan

Some friends of mine recently welcomed a new little baby into their family. I was wracking my brain trying to think of something to make for them when I remembered that I had a ball of Hayfield Baby Blossom Chunky yarn in my stash. I originally purchased this yarn because I fell in love with a sample baby cardigan I had seen knit out of it at my LYS. While I'm not expecting a bundle of joy any time soon, I thought I might be able to make myself something out of it.

Tilly and the Buttons Agnes Tee

Tilly and the Buttons Agnes Tee

Hello my lovelies!

Today I want to talk a bit more about everyone's favorite tee pattern: the Tilly and the Buttons Agnes tee. I have already mentioned this pattern on the blog before. It was my September make for the Minerva Crafts Blogger Network. However, this is the test version I sewed up first to check for any potentially necessary adjustments. This black version of Agnes has ended up being extremely versatile and I've worn it several times already. It makes sense after all, black does go with everything!

Honey Bee Cross Stitch

Honey Bee Cross Stitch

Hello Everybody!

I have a particularly exciting finished project to show you today. This one has been about a year in the making. It all started when I mentioned to my lovely, honey bee-obsessed husband, Evan, last Autumn that there was such a thing as honey bee cross stitch patterns. He was immediately intrigued so, one Google search later, we had ordered a cross stitch kit.

Maker of the Week - Casey Maura: Casey's Creative Musings

Hello Readers!

The lovely Casey is our next Maker of the Week. Casey was one of the first bloggers I discovered way back when I was just beginning to be interested in sewing. She inspired me to keep trying even though I had so many flops and failures there at the start. I loved reading back through all of her old blog posts and imagining being able to sew that well some day. Suffice it to say, I am fangirling a little over here! Keep reading to learn a bit more about Casey!

Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day!

Hello Everyone!

I've been busy knitting away on my Find Your Fade shawl which is a pattern by Andrea Mowry of Drea Renee Knits. It is a lovely pattern and I am quite enjoying working away on it while taking advantage of the holiday to watch loads of classes on Craftsy and back episodes of the Tea & Possibilities podcast.
