Pumpkin Wool and Honey Sweater - Andrea Mowry WIP Progress #2

I have been chugging right along with my Wool and Honey Sweater. It is fairly mindless so far despite the beautiful honeycomb pattern. I hadn’t fully realized that this sweater is nearly entirely knit in garter!

While to some people that might be a con, I am loving it. It gives it such an amazing texture and I enjoy purling as much as knitting so switching between the two doesn’t bother me in the least. I think it actually makes the sweater even more fun and engaging because it isn’t endless rows of knitting, knitting, and more knitting!

I’m onto the second yoke section and once that is finished, I will be able to split for the sleeves. I expect it to go even faster then since I won’t have to pay much attention to the pattern because the fancy stitches are all in the yoke.

i am determined to knit the sleeves before the body this time! I don’t mind sleeves that much, but they can be a bit fiddly since it is a small circumference. I have found that using two circular needles is my favorite way to work in the round when I don’t have a cable small enough but there are too many stitches to use DPNs.

And can we take a moment to appreciate this yarn colorway?? I have been on a massive orange kick this season. I have discovered that I love all things rusty, foxy orange. So get ready because pre-orders for “Pumpkin Pie” will be going live Thursday, October 25 at 6:00 p.m. CDT. This colorway is my official Thanksgiving 2018 colorway and will only be available until November 30th!
