My June Minerva Crafts blogger network post is up! I used some gorgeous fabric from the Minerva Crafts website and paired it with the Colette Pastille dress pattern. I cannot explain how much I love this dress. It turned out exactly like I imagined it. You can see a bunch more pictures and read all the details over here.Read More
I have another post up at Minerva Crafts. This dress was not without it's headaches, but I was able to finish it in plenty of time to wear it to the inevitable holiday parties. (Including my twenty-first birthday!) You can find all the details about this wonderful red dress over at the Minerva Crafts website here. I hope you all enjoy!Read More
One of the first things I thought about this morning upon waking up, was the realization that I had entirely forgotten to update my blog on my normal posting day. What a crime! Never fear, I have a lovely post for you, even though it is a day late. This is the first part of my Christmas Crafting series. I have several "selfless" sewing and knitting projects to share with you over the next couple of weeks. I thought I'd start it off with the most complicated Christmas presents I made: five button down men's shirts.Read More
First off, before I get into the lovely sewing bits, I want to apologize for the random blog posts that may have appeared and then disappeared this past week. I was attempting to connect my blog with my Youtube account in order to make it easier to transition from my podcast to my website, but, for whatever reason, I couldn't make Wordpress cooperate with me. Anyway, I won't be trying that again for a while unless some of you amazing people have any tips or tricks to make it work. In many ways, I miss the simplicity of the Blogger platform. I transferred over to Wordpress thinking it was going to be the new best thing, but I have found instead that it is much more complicated and annoying than Blogger ever was. Ah, well. That is a a conversation for another day. On to the post!Read More
It seems like all I'm sewing these days is Colette Patterns! Not only do I have another Seamwork make to share, I have a dress and a couple more Negroni shirts that I have been working on. I am definitely keeping busy! Today I want to show you my version of the Seamwork MagazineAstoria sweater.Read More
Today is the day: the Ginghamalong submission deadline. And, thankfully, I actually have a completed object!
This is a Colette Patterns Negroni shirt. I made size XS without any adjustments. It is made from a gingham quilting cotton that I purchased at Joann Fabrics. The buttons are from my stash. (Rest assured, the hem is even. The way the shirt is hanging off the mannequin and the angle of the picture make it look way off. . .)Read More
Well my dearies, I have been busy, but much of my projects are still in the development stages. I have also been working on Christmas presents, some of which I cannot show you since I don't want to risk the recipients seeing their gifts before time! I am such a procrastinator that I usually cram all of my Christmas gift making into the few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since there is such a shortage of time, what with various festivities, family get togethers and other usual holiday busyness, I always end up with half of my presents unmade. This year I am determined that that will not happen! So, on to the stuff I can show you.Read More
